22,000 individuals, code enforcement for the city of Soldotna covering an area
approximately seven square miles, maintaining certified fire investigators,

The task at hand is to work with the community to provide information that can
save the peoples lives, not only in the case of a fire, but provide information
pertaining to safety generated by seasons and holidays of the year. This may
include safety information during the winter, which may include injury

safety when the ice disappears and fishing begins. Providing information to
drivers concerning car seat safety or conducting safety inspections through
organizations such as "Safe Kids." Remember, "children are no accident". Working
with organizations such as this, safety reaches all ages in regards to bicycle
safety, boating safety, roller blading, skateboard, just to mention a few.
The Division of Fire Prevention organizes events for visibility and helpfulness
to the community. This would include, but not limited to, The fire fighters
"Fill the Boot" during " Muscular Dystrophy", manning kettles during "Ring the
Bell" for the Salvation Army at Christmas, or assisting the Food Bank as a
collection point, helping the needy during holiday seasons.
