The Fire Marshal's office presently has the following duties associated with the territory:

  • Fire Inspector/Code enforcement officer (powers mainly within the city limits of the City of Soldotna)
  • Conducts Plan review for fire/life safety involving commercial occupancies within the City of Soldotna.
  • Fire Public Educator within the schools, work places, or other areas of the community.
  • Public Information Officer
  • Community Events Coordinator
  • Fire Investigation Supervisor/Certified Fire Investigator
  • Other duties as assigned: fire suppression, EMS provider, etc.

  • State Farm’s Soldotna Safety Days in conjunction with the Kenai Peninsula Coalition of Safe Kids
  • EMS Week
  • Smoke Detector Give Away Program

  • Holiday Food Bank Drive
