On Tuesday morning, July 8th, at 2:28 AM, 911 received a call from the owner of a residential home at 37150 Watkins Avenue, reporting flames coming from exterior walls & eves of their residence. The first arriving engine reported a two story, wooden building fully engulfed with fire. The incident was declared an exterior attack due to the building being fully engulfed. Engine 3, Engine 5, Ladder 1, Medic 1, Tanker 1, Tanker 3, Tanker 4, Tanker 6, 906, Chief 2 and 14 personnel responded to the scene. The residents attempted to extinguish the fire without success, while at the same time evacuating the home and calling 911 for help. No one was injured in the blaze, but the home and it's contents were lost. The American Red Cross has been assisting the family with accommodations since the fire. |
