A burn barrel was listed as the cause for a wildfire that burned almost a half acre on Kalgin Drive on Wednesday May 15th.

When C.E.S. Engine 4 arrived on scene, heavy smoke and fire reduced visibility and it was originally thought that a house was burning.

Firefighters brought the fire under control and kept it from spreading onto nearby properties.
