"B" Shift firefighters were called out on June 16th to Mile 9 of Swanson River Road for a reported vehicle fire. On arrival, Engine 3 reported a fully involved pick up truck.

C.E.S. was assisted by two engines from Alaska State Forestry, due to the proximity of the vehicle to the surrounding wildland exposure.

Swanson River Road was closed for approximately one hour while crews worked to extinguish the blaze and check for extension in the surrounding woodlands.
