On Thursday December 14, Firefighters were called to a report of smoke and flames visible from a detached garage at 38130 Evergreen Street, near Sterling.

Within three minutes, the first arriving engine reported a fully involved detached garage, measuring approximately 24x24 feet. The fire was declared under control within 30 minutes and out within an additional 45 minutes.

C.E.S. responded with 3 engines, one medic unit, two tankers and command & support staff.

The two story barn-type structure and it's contents were lost in the fire.

Fire investigators determined the cause of the fire was combustibles too close to a heat source.
