On Saturday morning at approximately 3:57 AM, B shift Firefighters of Central Emergency Services was dispatched to a possible trailer fire on Jitney Circle, near Skyline Drive in Soldotna.

The first arriving engine reported a 14x70 foot mobile home fully involved with fire. The fire was reported under control within 45 minutes of the first arriving engine and declared out within an additional 60 minutes.

Two engines, three tankers, a ladder truck, a medic unit and command vehicles responded to the incident, along with 12 personnel.

The 1200 square foot structure and its contents sustained major fire damage, the residents were not in the residence at the time the fire started.

Investigators determined that the fire started in a well house located beside the trailer. The fire traveled from the well house to the trailer, destroying everything in its path.
